Issues

It has been both an honor and a pleasure to serve as your Dallas County Judge, and I would like to thank you for permitting me to perform in that capacity. I have diligently worked to bring positive change to Dallas County. My focus has been centered on the major items that directly affect the quality of our daily lives.

The first three years of my term have now drawn to a close. And while a review of those years will definitely reveal many significant accomplishments, there is still much to be done. That is why I am resolved to advance the good work we have begun for Dallas County; and I will continue to tackle the tough issues in county government.

Addressing the issues that lie ahead will require experience, skill and vision. I believe that my record speaks for its self and I believe that I have both the skills and vision to continue bringing positive change to Dallas County government.

Transparency

We have experienced a great transition in terms of making our government more transparent, but additional progress is needed if we are to serve all of the county's citizens in a fair and equitable manner.

I will continue to work toward bringing ethics and transparency to the forefront of county government. This includes the ability of any citizen to go online and view recent purchases or accounts payable.

Transportation

One of my top priorities will be to continue working toward solving our transportation needs. Those needs are expected to more than double by 2050. We need the vision today to plan for tomorrow's transportation needs.

Water

Water is one of our most precious resources and future growth is dependant on an abundant supply. Planning must commence now for additional reservoirs if we want to be able to sustain future growth.
